E very New Year   bring with it new hopes and scope for new opportunities. "جناح کے نام " آج بڑی دلفریب صُبح تھی ، گُلشن پاک دُھند کی چادر میں لپٹا ھوا تھا ، سردی کی کرامت تھی یا چھُٹی کی وجہ ٹریک پر رش نہیں تھا ، میں پہلی بار پرندوں کی آوازوں کو غور سے الگ الگ سُنے کی کوشش کر رھا تھا ، بڑی مسحور کُن آوازیں تھیں ، چیل کوئے طوطا مینہ چڑیا گُلہری کوئل بُلبل سب اپنی اپنی بولی بول رھے تھے  ، پارک میں ایک شور برپا تھا  ، بچپن سے آج تک لاھور کے پارکوں سے میری وابستگی رھی ھے ، ایّام جوانی میں جوگنگ کیا کرتا تھا اور اب اھیڑ عمری میں واک کرتا ھوں ، مگر آج تک کبھی اس طرح کان لگا کر پنچھیوں کو نہیں سُنا ، پارک میں آوازوں کا ایک میلہ لگا تھا ،لاکھ کوشیش کے باوجود حرام ھے ایک بات بھی سمجھ آئی ھو،، اشرف المخلوقات ھونے کے باوجود میں ناکام رھا ،ایک لفظ پلے نہیں پڑا ، اپنی معذوری اور الله کی دسترس کا اعتراف کرتا آگے بڑھا مجھ سے چند قدم آگے ایک درویش واک کر رھا تھا سر پہ پٹھانی ٹوپی انگریزی جیکٹ سفید جوگر اور شلوار قمیض پہنے وہ بوڑھا اس طرح تیزی سے چل رھا تھا کے جواں شرمائیں ، میں بھاگ کر ساتھ ھوا اور سلام کہا ، درویش نے متانت سے جواب دیا ،اُس کے چہرے پر
