بستی میں ہمیں بھی رہنے دو

جب حرف یہاں مر جائے گا

جب تیغ پہ لے کٹ جائے گی

جب شعر سفر کر جائے گا

جب قتل ہوا سر سازوں کا

جب کال پڑا آوازوں کا

جب شہر کھنڈر بن جائے گا

پھر کس پہ سنگ اٹھاؤ گے

اپنے چہرے آئینوں میںجب دیکھو گے ڈر جاؤ گے
