دِل دُکھتا ہے

آباد گھروں سے دور کہیں
جب بنجر بَن میں آگ جلے
دِل دُکھتا ہے


پردیس کی بوجھل راہوں میں
جب شام ڈھلے
دِل دُکھتا ہے
جب رات کا قاتل سناٹا
پُرہول فضا کے وہم لیے
قدموں کی چاپ کے ساتھ چلے
دِل دُکھتا ہے
جب وقت کا "نابینا جوگی"
کچھ ہنستے بستے چہرے پر
بے دَرد رُتوں کی خاک مَلے
دِل دُکھتا ہے

دِل دُکھتا ہے
جب شہ رگ میں محرومی کا
نشتر ٹوٹے
دِل دُکھتا ہے
جب ہاتھ سے ریشم رِشتوں کا
دامن چھوٹے
دِل دُکھتا ہے
جب تنہائی کے پہلو سے
انجانے درد کی لَے پُوٹے
دِل دُکھتا ہے

دِل دُکھتا ہے
زرداب رُتوں کے سائے میں
جب پھول کِھلیں
دِل دُکھتا ہے
جب زخم دہکنے والے ہوں
اور خوشبو کے پیغام ملیں
اور اپنے دریدہ دامن کے
جب چاک سلیں
دِل دُکھتا ہے

جب آنکھیں خود سے خواب بُنیں
خوابوں میں بسرے چہروں کی
جب بھیڑ لگے
اس بھیڑ میں جب تم کھو جاؤ
دِل دُکھتا ہے
جب حبس بڑھے تنہائی کا

جب خواب جلیں، جب آنکھ بُجھےتم یاد آؤدِل دُکھتا ہے!
